...... ................Since May Langworthy Reds Ladies team have been playing in the North Manchester In 2 Touch competion.
 
This game consists of no less than either two lads or girls from six players on the pitch. Langworthy Ladies ended the season in third position, which meant they were eligable for the play off, they played the 2nd place team with some rewarding tries and skills to get in to the final.
 
On the 24th of July the finals were held and Langworthy Reds made it to the main plate final, fending off a great team called Highfield Destroyers to get there.
 
There opponents in the final were Highfield ( second team to the destroyers)
 who were last years winners, this turned out to be a great end to end game of touch in which the score ended up Langworthy Reds Ladies 7 tries to Highfields 6.
 
For the supporters/players of both teams this was nail biting to say the least.
 
I know that the Ladies of Langworthy Reds open age team would espcially like to thank Francis Smith, Dale Murphy & Road runner legs Bobby Ricci, for there time and efforts with us in this tournament. Well done one and all...........................
